June 17-21

It is hard to believe that this is the last full week of school for 2023/24!

Here is a glimpse into some of the things we worked on this week -

Literacy:

We enjoyed the book, Beastly Puzzles by Rachel Poliquin and then created our own animal riddles after finding facts in nonfiction books on Epic books. Then we utilized the skills we learned about google slides and created a riddle slide show to share with our peers. Students had a great deal of fun sharing these with one another. Please have your child show you their riddle - it can be found by logging into slides on their google accounts.

Math - students have been learning about fractions - how to describe them, represent  and compare them and how to combine them into wholes. Here is a link that students can use to apply their learning to -

This week we have also reviewed what we know about measuring - using nonstandard measures such as paperclips or foot span and cm/meters to measure ourselves and things outside. Look for our Measuring Me project to come home and ask your child about it.
