October 10 - 13th

This week was a short week but an awesome week together!

Here is a look at our week:

Field trip to Fish Creek Provincial Park-

We were so very fortunate to have had the opportunity to go and spend the day at Fish Creek Park. The weather was beautiful, the land was on full display with all the beautiful colors ,the creatures that lived there made appearances and we made lovely connections with all and each other. In addition we also focused on the positive and negative impacts of humans on the park, learned more about food webs/chains, discovered evidence of lifecycles and were sleuths finding evidence of animals/insects that habituate the park. We were able to bring all of this adventure and discovery back to school and spent time reflecting on our land based learning. Part of this reflection included students creating their own documentation of their experience as well as reflecting through the holistic lens of the Medicine Wheel by identifying the - To know, To Be, To Belong and to Do. Here are some pictures of student reflection as well as some from our field trip -

A big thank you to our parent volunteers who spent their day with us! We really appreciate all of you.

/es/ - these apply to words ending in -ch, -sh, -s, -x -zz (bunches, rush, bus, box, buzz)
/ed/ - which will sound like /ed/ as in landed, /t/ as in sniffed, /d/ as in called
